A love hate relationship

I am getting to a place where I love the internet. I just watched an episode of Survivor right here on my computer. How cool is that? When ever I am writing a sermon I can find lots of articles, commentaries and bible versions right at my finger tips. I can email many people at once waiting for their response and it only takes a few minutes. I remember when I had to make 30 phone calls and it would take me all night. I can read jokes, books and cartoons. I can order pictures and furniture and even bid on cars half way around the world. Oh the internet is awesome. I hate the fact that people can ruin such a great tool by luring children or posting graphic obscene pictures. I wish people were truly respectful and not evil. The bible says in Genesis twice:
Gen. 6:5 "The Lord saw how great man's wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time." and again after the flood Gen. 8:21b "even though every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood."
So man's thoughts are evil and it takes work to do the right thing. I know I struggle with sin in different ways and much of my sin is my thoughts. So I pray daily that the good Lord continues His grace upon me and that I may please Him with my words, thoughts and actions.
I love the internet and will continue to use it with wisdom and with boundaries. I will remain accountable to others so that I don't fall into the temptations that seem to pop up on every screen I go to.
I will leave with this, 1 Corinthians 10:13 "No temptation can seize you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." My interpretation of this verse is - God provides exit signs in our lives, you must make the choice to leave!
